reyl (Canada) (2006/12/11): This is the first book in an excellent fantasy series. The characters grow and develop wonderfully throughout the books. The world is lush and the story is very enjoyable.
Stefanie (USA: FL) (2009/02/03): I absolutely LOVED this series. It is definately one of the best sets I have ever read.Very exciting and unique.A definate must have!!
Alyssa (USA: AZ) (2009/08/30): This book is the best of the series, full of the promise of a fresh plot, intriguing political situations, characters one could actually respect, and.... wait, hold on a second, magical dominatrixes in leather catsuits??! *cue sound effect of a vehicle screeching to a halt*Well, that was an unexpected plot twist, to say the least. The books get progressively stranger from here, the characters become invincible and perfect, and Goodkind eventually resorts to downright blatantly stealing plots, but this book is good, and worth reading despite the random dominatrix tangent. Or because of it, if you're into that kind of thing. However because of that aspect I seriously do not reccomend it for readers under the age of 16, and I think I would have been happier not to read it until say, 18 or 19 myself. There's some pretty messed up stuff in there, be aware of that.
