A book about some very unhappy folks. How the decisions they make affect their lives, and the lives of others is fascinating...... Insights on life in a cold climate, small town life v.s. that of life in the big city. And a historical fiction bent as well, a book that you may or may not enjoy, but you will be thinking about it after you finish reading.

This book was, by far, one of the Best I've read and VERY memorable. It's written in a very elegant way...old-fashioned, and really takes you into their world. She is SO mean, but I could understand why she acts that way, despite how WRONG her actions were. This book was fantastic and well worth reading.
